Upgrade given at reasonable (below book)rate. ... Our experience at Hotel Zandbergen was fabulous. We were all very pleased with staff, facilities and willingness to help. ... Taxi to airport arranged and present as agreed. ... I would like my views known to Hotel Zandbergen staff. ... Ease of use, prompt responses and property exceeded expectations. ... Exceptional hotel in quiet but up-scale neighborhood with great restaurants, pastry/chocolate shops, groceries and of course the museumplein and Vondelpark a few blocks away. Rooms were comfortable, quiet, clean and staff was most courteous and helpful. Exceeded our expectations in every way.

Good guide at varied prices and locations for a city with which we were not familiar ... Service so prompt it wasn't necessary ... We knew exactly what we were doing when! ... Some confusion by hotel as to what happened to booking form ... Room was not as good as we expected - see below ... The rooms on the website looked spacious and rather grand. Ours was very small - the bed was against the wall so you could only get out one side of it.
The room was a bit of a corridor.
It was spotlessly clean. ... Our bags were meticulously tagged and checked for later collection. ... Staff were really friendly.
It is spotlessly clean.
The room was smaller than the website had led us to believe. ... Good choice of hotels at different price levels and locations. ... Small, friendly, clean, close to museums but a fair walk to the centre of town!

Very user friendly with clear instructions on how to book accomodation etc. ... Very easy and very prompt. Excellent service. ... On arrival we were told that 2 apt.s were now available for more or less the same price (due to a cancellation) as our pre- booked double rooms. This was terrific as both apartments were really nice, big and comfortable. They also had a kitchen which was very useful to us during our stay. ... We had a lovely stay at Hotel Zandbergen, the staff were very polite and always very helpful. We felt very welcome from the start of our stay til the very end. The best hotel I have ever stayed in. ... Very friendly and helpful staff - the hotel is small and very comfortable. ... Easiest way to organise a trip abroad. ... Terrific hotel with lovely apartments and rooms available at a very good price. Wonderful staff who would be sure to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. Lovely breakfast!

Breakfast was good but was more substantial last time I stayed 2 years ago. ... Stairs are very steep, you need good thighs. ... Useful for marathon and half marathon, you can walk to an from the stadium without too much pain!

The hotel was very quiet, which was naturally pleasant. It was nice that we could keep the key when we visited the city - I think it is not nice allways to disturb the staff by asking the key. It was nice as well that only those having the key could get in to the hotel. ... Positive: quietness ... A quiet small hotel, not so close to the centre of the city. Quite expensive, but considering hotel prices in Amsterdam, moderate priced.

No elevator, very steep stairs ... Good place, very close to Van Gogh Museum, not too far from the center (20 mins walk)

AmsterdamBy was a quick and easy way to sort the lodging options in Amsterdam. ... Did not have web access for a while ... As above ... I highly reccommend Hotel Zandbergen whose receptionist was thoroughly delightful

They should make a note that there is no door to the bedroom in the penthouse apt. ... When renting the penthouse it should be noted that breakfast is *not* included. Also, there was a nice stereo but they didn't tell us that we should bring CD's. ... I loved it. We had a great time.

When I booked we were told check in at 12 but we had to wait till 2pm which was a little inconvenient. ... The room was extremely small. We were disappointed there were no tea/coffee making facilities. ... Staff were very helpful and looked after our luggage until we were ready to go to the airpost.

It was hard to tell from the website (not having been to Amsterdam) what a delightful neighborhood the hotel is in. ... walking distance to museums a block from the park these are things which are difficult to tell from the map since the scale is not communicated
... Very nice, clean, comfortable in a pleasant old neighborhood. Computer accesss, very helpful staff.

The receptionist was very helpful and efficient. ... A very well run hotel. The staff were all attentive and responsive to our needs and could not have been more helpful. A very pleasant experience. ... A good place to stay in a very pleasant part of Amsterdam, suitably placed for everything.

Friendly and personal. Staff showed us to our room and helped with bag. ... Owners and staff exceptionally pleasant. The sound of the front door buzzer was loud in our room and quite disturbing at night. One or two corners of the room not cleaned effectively. Breakfast was good, except for the coffee, which was not very nice even by Amsterdam standards. These are small criticisms and overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would choose the hotel again. ... A pleasant small hotel in a quiet and very convenient and accessible part of town. Recommended.

The steepness of the stairs and no elevator might be a problem for some people. ... Very convenient location. Quiet and clean though small rooms.

Room was very small for two person. Standard room size? There wasn't any recommandation to hire bigger room. I understood hotel has larger rooms as well. Of course addtional cost is ok ... Size of room ... Ask bigger rooms and bay little more extra
