Banks and Bureaux de Change offer similar rates of exchange, but banks tend to charge less commission. Most banks are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with the Postbank opening up on Saturday mornings. Dutch banks buy and sell foreign currency and exchange travellers' cheques and Eurocheques, but few give cash advances against credit cards.
