& Activities - Horse Riding in Amsterdam:
The
Royal Riding School also know as the Hollandsche Manège has been functional
since 1882. The 19th building itself is worth a visit as it was designed by A.L.
van Gendt(who also designed the Concert Hall at the Museum Square) and is supposed
to be based on lines of the Spanish Riding School at Vienna. The building designed
with marbles and mirrors has an orchestra balcony and beautiful foyer and now
has a café on one of the upper floors from where you can watch the horses.
This school offers both indoor and outdoor riding.
