faxes, directories, maps, stamp machines, counters where you can
buy packaging for parcels and a counter for collectors' stamps and

If you're not sure where you'll be staying in Amsterdam, people
can send your post to the above address. You'll be able to collect
it from the main post office with ID.
For post destined
for outside Amsterdam, use the overige bestemmingen slot in letter
boxes. The logo for the national postal service is ptt post (white
letters on a red oblong). Most post offices - recognisable by their
red and blue signs - are open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Housed in every
post office is the Postbank, a money-changing facility. Stamps (postzegels)
can also be bought with postcards from tobacconists and souvenir
shops.

be sent from post offices for a basic charge plus a extra charge
per word under 11 letters (including address and signature). Details
