I was pleasantly surpised by the warmth and friendliness of the staff ... It came as a surprise that the hotel is so central and within such easy walking distance to places. I assumed that it would be nice but that we might be a little far away from things, but after spending the week there I can only recommend the location, service and price to friends. ... No complaints whatsoever ... No ... Just great and an excellent choice

Very good. A bit confusing to find, however finding your way in any new city can be confusing in itself. A taxi ride cured the problem. ... Excellent hotel. Very nice people, good accomodations which were clean and comfortable. Very nice breakfast arrangement. ... The central location of this hotel was very nice. Once we got used to the city we found the hotel to be very conveniently located. ... Very nice place to stay. In fact I did recomend this hotel to my father who will be staying there in a couple of weeks.

There was a mix up over the booking, so 't Hotel offered me an alternate room which is normally reserved for their friends to stay in, at a lower price. It was a very good alternative, they were extremely apologetic and helpful, and even bought me a huge bunch of flowers! ... No ... Gorgeous and perfectly located, with lovely and very helpful staff.

Positively you should write that this is not an ordinary hotel, but this a hotel build from old apartments in an Amstedam Dokhouse, very charming and private indeed.

Very welcoming arrival at reception. ... Expensive - but you tend to get what you pay for in Amsterdam. Friendly and welcoming, excellent location: Centraal Station and other locations walkable. Quiet, pleasant - if unexciting - rooms. Decent buffet breakfast. There are cheaper hotels in Amsterdam, but if you can afford it I would recommend this one.

We were warmly greeted, given assistance with our luggage on the very steep stairs, and were directed to a nearby restaurant for an excellent repast after our long train trip. ... It proved to be an ideal Amsterdam location, providing easy walking access to all the places we visited and a welcome retreat from which to stage our explorations. ... Excellent value considering the well-appointed rooms, friendly and helpful staff, exceptionally good breakfasts provided. ... For our next trip to Amsterdam, this charming, well-situated hostelry will be our first choice.

't Hotel is a peaceful place situated in the heart of Amsterdam where you can spend a nice time. The staff is always very helpful and polite, and you will always remember the strong and nutritive breakfast at the begining of each day. The Leliegratch street is just a walk away Dam square, and the rooms are very clean, spaceful and silence at nights. Another thing to remember is the music of the bells of Westerkerk, that every hour sound to delight you. We really enjoyed staying in 't Hotel for seven nice days and be sure that we´ll come back to Amsterdam, and to ´t Hotel as well.

Warm, friendly and helpful welcome. We had wanted a canal-view room but when we booked they were all taken. There had been a cancellation when we arrived and the receptionist was happy to move us to the canal-view room the following day. ... We loved this hotel and cannot fault it in any way. Wonderful staff, friendly and always helpful. Our room was perfect with very comfortable beds and good armchairs. Great view too! ... We asked for a taxi for the station. The receptionist called one, stood in the street to wave it in and loaded the luggage for us. ... We knew that in a canal-side house the stairs would be very steep and narrow. That was fine for us, but we felt that some visitors (Americans?) might be worried by the steep climb. ... We would say that it is a perfect little hotel, a gem in a lovely setting. We'd say 'Go there, soon!'

They were able to accommodate us before the official check-in time, which was a relief after an early flight. ... A very pleasant hotel, with real Amsterdam character and in a good location. ... Excellent hotel, and good offers provided i.e we stayed for 3 nights in early March and we paid 225 euro - very good value for money. Also the hotel had a great location right in the centre of Amsterdam. ... The only thin I can think of is that there is no disabled access - but this was no problem to us. ... Very promp service - when we searched for places to stay, we were sent at least 8 e-mails offering us various hotels/prices - so it was easy to look through and pick the best location/offer. ... Very nice. Quiet, right in the city centre and overall excellent value for money considering the hotel (t-hotel) was right in the centre of Amsterdam.

Tom was a bit cheeky at first. Elizabeth is a delight. She's usually cooking in the kitchen. It was like visiting your aunt and uncle. Very quiet. Very pristine, especially the bathroom. Loved the breaky. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful. Very intelligent and cultured owner and staff. ... Great books and antiques. Good center of happenings. 'Twas incredible to listen to the same bells as Ana Frank. It brought tears to my eyes. ... I still see Tom and Elizabeth waving goodbye to us. Seven Bridges recommend this place to us. It was a terrific stay. ... Beautiful, quiet, and pristine

We were delighted with our accommodations and the staff. The room was delightful, #2 I believe, and the ceiling of the old building was left with the plaster molding. There was a new bath with a wonderful shower. The window overlooked the roofs of adjoining building to a flowering tree that was in full bloom for the entire time we were in Amsterdam. ... We left earlier in the morning than when the breakfast would have been normally served on two occasions and the staff made extra effort to provide the same breakfast for us as if we were down at the regular time. You couldn't ask for more! Also had a delightful breakfast bread, 'Easter Bread' that I fell in love with. May have to go back next Easter just to get it! ... Although there is no lift, the staff request that they be allowed to take your luggage up to the room on arrival and from the room when you are leaving. A very nice service and compensates for no lift! ... A delightful place in a wonderful location, along a lovely canal. We found a wonderful resturant just a few doors north of the hotel, de Luwte, which with the extensive breakfast at the hotel, made meals no problem at all.

The owner was a delight. He was both very warm and welcoming.
Although we were a little disppointed that he offered no help with carrying our luggage up a very steep staircase to our room in the hotel. ... The hotel was lovely. Small and friendly. The room was clean. But it was quite small compared to the other rooms in the hotel, which we happened to see as the cleaners left the doors open.
I hope this was reflected in the price of the room, but I'm not too sure? ... Check out was 11am. And the cleaners were knocking on our door at 10.50 because they wanted to get in.
Being as it was a Sunday morning, it would have been nice not to have been pressured to get out of the room and have a check out 12 noon. And for the cleaners to be a bit less keen! ... There should be more detail on the apartment and where it is in relation to the hotel. There should be more pictures of the rooms and the hotel. When you are booking on the web - good internal and external pictures are essential. ... Charming 17th century canalside hotel. With very friendly owners in a beautiflly quiet location.
Located in the more historic part of Amsterdam. A genuine find for the discerning traveller.
