 In the basement a beautiful new breakfast room was created. Some of the old wood construction, carrying the building, is still visible and is combined with modern elements. Guests can enjoy the artwork on the walls, while having breakfast. The varied and generous breakfast buffet was praised by Holiday Travel.

 The Leliegracht can be considered one of Amsterdam's most beautiful canals. Being more narrow than the large canals it has a cozy atmosphere. In the summer the sunlight through the trees is just amazing. Yet an area to be discovered, the Leliegracht houses some interesting specialty shops. Among them an internationally famous architectural bookstore, a shop for men and women with big feet, a shop selling elegant clothes for pregnant women and a fancy hairdresser. Just a few footsteps away from the hotel are some very nice restaurants as well, both in the lower, medium and high price range. The people with a taste for superb French cuisine are well served at Christophe, a Michelin-star restaurant. De Luwte combines fusion cooking with a tasteful bohemian atmosphere. |
