A haven of peace and comfort. A smoke free hotel in a city apparently obsessed by smoking. (The only downside of Amsterdam that we noticed. It was nearly impossible to have a smoke free meal or drink.)

The breakfast prepared by the owner was excellant We did pay extra for it but it was well worth it , beautifully prepared and presented in the garden.

The hotel was very good and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful.
We changed rooms after one night as the owner remembered that we had a preference for the rear room which came available during our stay.
The location was excellent and could be made more of on your website.

The owner allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel all day on our final day which made a boig difference.

Our host, Elizabeth De Witt, took the time to show us how to use everything in the room, and how to get around Amsterdam as it was our first time visiting. She was very nice.

I do not recall, but if iot doesn't you should make sure that 'no air conditioning' (at least none that we found) is mentuoned. Tsi was not an issue for us, but it could be for soemone visiting in the middle of summer.

This is a well located, vey clean and pleasant small hotel, which I would be very pleased to stay in again.

Elizabeth was wonderful especially since we arrived early in the morning and knew the room wouldn't be ready. She gave us coffee in the garden and kept our luggage while we went to get a bite to eat and wait for the room.

Wonderful little canal house hotel away from the really touristy areas but in a very convenient location. Hostess was wonderful. Room was fantastic. It felt like being at home.

and gave us all the information we needed
until we could talk further the next day.

Elizabeth was a perfect host; always available without being intrusive. Her rooms are absolutely beautiful - modern, stylish, luxurious and spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are a delight. Perfect hotel.

The hotel is a gem - a stylish, quiet, luxury hotel without the clutter of a large chain. Cleaner than any hotel I have ever stayed in and cleverly designed rooms with everything you would ever need, including a coffee nook, mini-bar fridge with real prices and a lockable closet. Everything is so well looked after that you go out of your way to take care of it yourself. It's like being treated with respect as a guest which makes you treat things with respect.
Elizabeth is a charming, generous and gracious host. She really couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable yet she did it in a way that we didn't feel intruded upon. The breakfast she served in the courtyard was a perfect start to the day - sunny green oasis right on the canal.

The hotel was just what we were looking for for a 'cityweekend' in Amsterdam: Small, central location, luxurious, intimate and not too expensive. A very nice stay, and very helpful staff.

Although everything was of a high standard we did feel we were paying hotel prices for a 'bed and breakfast' type accomodation within someone's home. I would like to stress though that it was very up market.

I think you should stress that it is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants (eg on Utrechstaat)

everything ok!we had to wait a few moments (mre or less 7 min) before get in the room but i was not problem at all!

there is no canal view due to parked cars along the bank of the canal/breakfast too expensive/it's not so luxurious as described on the web site./good service/very clean/very helpful/really cosy room
