Accommodations |
Each of the eight luxuriously appointed suites and rooms were individually designed and have a style of it’s own which has been achieved by blending the old with the new. All rooms feature colorful walls and windows, lined and draped in contrasting wall-papers and fabrics.
Furthermore they are furnished with carefully selected antique and contemporary pieces such as beautiful sofas, oversized easy chairs, refined tables and cabinets and are decorated with modern and classical art. Needless to say, each room boasts a fully equipped bathroom, refreshment cabinet, safe deposit box, satellite TV, radio, DVD and CD-player, outlets for computers and individually controllable heating. Ample bouquets of beautiful Dutch flowers in season grace the entire house.
The two spacious suites at the front of the house are fitted with five tall, wide windows that offer breathtaking views of the tree-lined canal and the architectural on the opposite side. The six large suites and rooms at the back of the house overlook the charming patios and reveal the backs of the fascinating gabled houses of Holland’s 17th century Golden Age. |
Executive Suites
Schubert Suite: The Schubert Suite is a very large suite (70 sq.m.) situated on the first floor at the front of the house. Luxuriously appointed, it features an authentic beamed ceiling that tops five wide and tall windows overlooking the tree-lined Prinsengracht.
Picasso Suite: The impressive Picasso Suite has the same dimensions as the Schubert Suite and features a very high and beautiful ceiling. It is situated on the second floor and its five large windows offer even more breathtaking views of the canal and the historical buildings opposite.
Junior Suites |
Shakespeare, Tolkien, Von Goethe and Frans Liszt Junior Suites. These stylish suites are located on the first, second, third and basement floor at the back of the house. Each suite offers over 50 sq.m. of comfort and tranquility. Each of the suites five windows offers views of the two patios. Liszt has as well a view at the front of the house. |
Deluxe Double Room
Mahler Room: The distinctive Mahler Room, situated on the second floor at the patio side of the house, is slightly smaller in dimensions (40 sq.m.) yet offers an equally high standard of comfort.
Room at the Top: This enchanting room is as large as the Junior Suites and is located on the fourth floor at the quiet patio side of the house. It not only features a charming beamed ceiling, but offers stunning views of the spires of the Rijksmuseum and the 16th century Montalbaans tower near the old port. |
