Everyone in receiption was so polite and helpfull , i asked for iron and they gave it to me free for 3 nights, breakfast wasnt that much but the dinning room view was super.

The welcome was extremely good. We were offered a cold drink, our luggage was taken for us and we were then given guides to Amsterdam and offered breakfast (even though the breakfast was over at 10.30 and we had arrived at 11.15). The manager and receptionist were fantastic.

Thoroughly enjoyable in a clean and welcoming environment. The location of the hotel provided fro extremely good value for money. i would certainly return and would recommend the Nadia to other travellers.

We checked out at 7.00am. Breakfast was made available 1/2 hour early for us and there was a porter ready to take our luggage.

One neagtive, the church accross thew canal has a bell every 15 minutes, 24 houirs a day and ths takes a bit of getting used to at night.

Nadia Hotel, a great Hotel to stay at Amsterdam. Everyone was extreamely polite and helpful. I surely will stay there, again, during my next stay at Amsterdam City. At Nadia there is always a welcoming drink and you feel at home. I can only say that is a good place to stay, not only for its location but as well for its simpaty towards all the guests.

The staff and management were very warm and friendly. Though the room was very small I would make reservations there should I get the chance to visit Amsterdam again in the future.

I had never visited Amst so i was a bit taken aback with regards to these types of accomodations........however all hotels on the street had the same eg stair problem i presume!! Even though on the site the stairs were mentioned I never dreamt of climbing such steep steps..it was an experience...can't complain though

Very friendly.....on my last day I was offered to leave my luggage at the hotel and to return and freshen even though it was after check out time as my flight was late evening. I waited in the b'fast room and was offered a drink whilst i waited for the shuttle to the airport.

Very central, relatively small, friendly staff........steep stairs. It's a good thing that the luggage is brought up for you!!

The hotel was very clean and ideally situated. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Although the room was a little small for two tall people, we managed !

Nice receptionist and so polite!

Special room - very small but in a nice part of the hotel with a nice view over the canal. Could perhaps be better cleaned up.

Someone is at the desk 24 hours. Everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful. They all speak excellent English and will answer any questions you have. They also help bring your suitcases up when you arrive and down when you depart which is very nice considering the extremely steep stairs and no elevator!

Stayed late Aug. 2007. Our corner room (Balcony double) was REALLY small (half a room by US standards) and the tiny balcony overlooked the very busy / noisy street. The reviews warned about the size of the rooms, but I had to see it to believe it. We did have another window that looked over the edge of a canal and toward the nearby church which we enjoyed looking out of. The bed was pushed up against a slanted attic ceiling/wall and it could be a little claustrophobic for some people (4th floor). If you want a quieter room, don't stay in a balcony room per management - the quiet rooms are supposedly at the back of the building, although the only real noise issues we had stemmed from our neighbors. The streetcars stop running at 11 or 12, the church bells didn't wake me up at all, and most of the street noise really didn't reach the fourth floor.
I also thought that the hotel was located in the (very nearby) neighborhood of Jordaan, but it was actually located on a major street with streetcars, people and traffic. We had noisy neighbors our last night (Friday) and I didn't get much sleep between that and the jet lag. While it was fine, I personally would try to stay in the heart of Jordaan next time because I didn't really feel that the 120 Euro was a good value for the room and I prefer a very quiet location.
