The property used to be a Doctor's villa from 1923, it has been built by the world famous Architect B.T. Boeyinga and in 1997 it was declared a state monument. Four General practitioners have lived and worked here. The owner's husband bought the property in 1961 and has been working in it as a General Practitioner until 1990, when he got retired. After his death in 1992, his wife decided to create a Bed and Breakfast in the family house. |
She bought the house from the municipality who have now restored it: they tried to save as many original details as possible, outside as well as inside the house. Here our guests can easily reach Amsterdam central station by bus (15 minutes away) while enjoying all the peace and rest of a typical Amsterdam House. The area is very quiet and residential. |
