Tall and narrow with very steep stairs, which add to the rich character of the surroundings. There is also a very friendly atmosphere and I wide choice foods for breakfast.

Amsterdam has many hotels, but some are over $200, Euros per night. I got a small, but clean room with breakfast for aprox. 62.00 U.S. dollars per night. A good deal!

Extremely quiet neighborhood and neighbors within the hotel, very spacious room, rooms were cleaned early each AM.

See above, and I would stress the quiet and peaceful surroundings that were still only minutes walk to anything that the city offers.

We arrived early, about 12 noon, expecting to leave our luggage and return later to gain access to our room but we were very impressed to find our room ready.

Fantastic warm greeting. We arrived quite early, well before check in but were given facilities to staore our luggage and breakfast.

The hotel was very charming with the steep canal house stairs. The breakfast was wonderful. The breakfast room had a variety of information about Amsterdam that was interesting to look at during breakfast, including a couple of guide books.

The hotel had a secure closet where we could leave our luggage for the day on the day of check out. This was very nice as usually luggage is left in an open area and security is questionable.

The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean spacious and spotless. Very good value for money. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The only comment I would make would be, it would be helpful if the recpetionist had offered to help us up the stairs with our cases ,as the stairs were steep and 2 of us were on the third floor.

It maybe would be useful to mention, in the directions, that the hotel is close to the Weteringscircuit and close to the Heineken Brewery.

A charming hotel in an excellent location - very nice walk from musuems and the centre of Amsterdam. The garden was a delight and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They serve an excellent breakfast buffet.

My use of the site found good quality affordable accommodaton in Amsterdam very easily and quickly. The bookings were followed up and confirmed quickly and effectively. I really believed that I my hotel booking would exist and it did, and the information was accurate.

I do not recall seeing arrival instructions (at least not in the voucher). This did not really matter, since the street was easy to locate on the map and within reach via tram.

The window was left open during the cleaning, which meant that at nights the room would be occupied by surprisingly feisty Amsterdam mosquitoes.

Perhaps it should be stressed that - at least with my room - the toilet (but not the shower!) had to be shared with another room. This was a bit surprising, but didn't really matter.

We were not given a time to check in by and did not arrive until 10pm. The man on reception hardly spoke except to tell us that we were very late!

The hotel is placed in an excellent location, in a beautiful and quiet street close to the museums and not very far from the center. We arrived taking a tram from the railway station. the receptionist was waiting for us.

The quadruple room was very small for 4 people but the shower room was huge! Even if the bedclothes seemed clean, they did not smell very nice...

The room was pretty basic but had everytbing that was stated. The comunal toilet was not particularily pleasent. The breakfast was good and the morning staff were very helpful.
