De Pijp rules. Behind the Heineken Brewery, this area has a fantastic daily market, excellent food shops, some well hidden cafés and bars only the locals seem to know about somehow. De Pijp is one the best areas in Amsterdam to go bargain hunting or buy something unusual (try finding Argentinian matte (tea) anywhere in Europe, well, they sell it here).
