Quiet area, we had rooms on the ground level, it has no lift and I did not want to drag our luggage up stairs. we did not like the hard (futon like) beds but they seemed to be standard in this level of accomodation

Hotel was clean and appeared to be well run. We felt that the place was secure ( electronic card for the front door and bedrooms )and the neighbourhood was quite and safe. had a great weekend with this hotel as our base.

Rooms were clean fresh towels in bathroom each day for all five of us.

While the price charged was the agreed price I felt that 250Euro per night for a normal sized room ( even with 5 persons in it ) was a little excessive.

Breakfast was very basic and disappointing. There was no variety of cereals, no fresh fruit, and the ham and cheese were uninteresting.

Brilliant location. A safe area to walk home at night. Close to Leidesplein and convenient to either walk or take a tram to the city centre.

My initial reaction was that we were too far from the city centre as the map said it was in the heart of the city but once we learned how to use the trams it was fine.

the one problem i did have was that it was not stated on the brochure that the hotel had a resident cat and my wife is allergic to cat and dog fur,i think that this should have been stated on the booking reference or brochure, apart from that it was fine

Please advise Groenhof that they should number room no. 24. It is the only room without a number- many tried to open door...
It is also the smallest room in the hotel I could see from structual changes that it once was a passage (maybe the old front door). This room could be made cheaper than the other single rooms because of its size.

Prompt service. If booked via agents in South Africa, the vouchers sometimes are not valid. If I do the booking myself, I know for sure I have a place to stay.

They have been very kind, as we told them we arrived after midnight and after ringing the bell they immediately come to receive us even if it's late

I can say that the hotel was good but the rooms are a little bit poor for the price and the bed not so much clean, the romm at that price could be better cleaned especially the moquette(floor covering) of the room
