Very, very helpful and friendly. The owners live there and went out of their way to see to our needs. Hand carried our bags up the stairs as there was no lift. Asked what time we wanted breakfast and showed us the refrigerator we could use.

Breakfast was wonderful! Brought to our door and set on the table next to it in the hall. Quiet location next to the train to downtown. Our room was quite spacious (had one of the upper rooms). Our sister's room was smaller but we paid a little more. Bed was a very comfortable queen. Room was comfortable tempture without airconditioning even on the hot days we were there.

Would highly recomend staying there. Nicer than alot of the other places we say. Will stay there again. Highly recomend renting bikes and parking them across the street. Great city for biking in. Can't say enough nice things about our hosts.

Wonderful botique hotel with fabulous hosteses. Great gourmet breakfast brought to your door at your time. Nice location, very quiet. Room was very spacious, paid a little more for a bigger room but the rooms that were smaller were still adequate. Very helpful hosteses who also lived in the building. No lift in the hotel but they carried our bags to our room. Also arrainged our transfer to the airport. Highly recomend it.

Frederik Park House is the ideal place to stay in Amsterdam. Having only four rooms, all beautifully laid out and very well kept, and being run by the owners, who totally renovated the property some five years ago, there is a real sense of intimacy and friendliness without being over-bearing. Frederik Park House is in a very quite location close to the museums and some wonderful restaurants, yet only a short tram ride from the centre. I would have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful place and when I next return to Amsterdam, I would choose to stay nowhere else.

The flight from Stockholm was 4 hours late because of thunderstorms at Schipol airport earlier in the evening. Dispite that we arrived at 02.30 in the morning the person we had contact with was very understanding and at a perfectly good mood. He was very nice dispite the late arrival. We felt very welcome. Thank you!!

We had the smallest room witch was big enough and very cosy and nice with a romantic touch. This was also what we were looking for because the reason we went to Amsterdam was celebrating a 20th marriage aniversary.
We saw the big rooms and next time we will ask for such a room.

The personnel recommended restaurants, museums, shops, markets, interresting things to see and very much more. Very friendly and helpful.
And the breakfast!!! Wow. A tray so big it was almost hard to lift. Lots of fresh new baked bread different kinds, and food enough for four people. Very good start in the morning.

Excellent accomodation run by two very nice guys, Martin & Franz.
Very clean and quiet with a great breakfast to start the day.
Just far enough away from the city centre for a pleasant walk or tram ride.
We would recommend this to anyone and we will book again when we revisit Amsterdam.

Frederik Park House is a great place to stay. Within walking distance of many interesting shops and restaurants. Martin and Franz are excellent hosts, always ready with helpful suggestions for dining, shopping or sightseeing. Breakfast was a wonderful start to each day.

On arrival, our innkeeper Martin was extremely courteous, helpful with our luggage, and was an indispensable fountain of knowledge about the local restaurants and activities.

We couldn't imagine a better place to stay in Amsterdam. The innkeepers were warm and welcoming and all their suggestions for local restaurants and activities were right on target. Our room was spotless, tastefully decorated and incredibly spacious. Breakfasts (included) were delicious. The location is on a quiet street, but within walking distance to all the sights. A real gem.

Our innkeepers and our hotel are one of the best things we'll remember about Amsterdam. It's more like a bed & breakfast, with very personable service and a caring attitude. No elevators, but very large and inviting rooms. Great neighborhood, too. Not touristy, but close to all the sights, and some great restaurants just down the street.

Frederik Park House was wonderful! We travel a lot, and I would have to say that this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in in a long time. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and maintained to a high standard. Breakfast each morning was a real treat, with fresh bread, freshly boiled eggs, and a little surprise each day. Our hosts could not have been more helpful - they were unobtrusive, but always there when we needed them and full of useful and interesting tips about visiting Amsterdam. I cannot recommend Frederik Park House highly enough!

Frederik Park House was wonderful! We travel a lot, and I would have to say that this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in in a long time. Our hosts could not have been more helpful - they were unobtrusive, but always there when we needed them and full of useful and interesting tips about visiting Amsterdam. I cannot recommend Frederik Park House highly enough! And the venue is perfect - with a direct tram just around the corner which takes you to the centre of town and all the attractions in less than 10 minutes - and within walking distance of all the main attractions - and plenty of interesting restaurants and cafes in the area. We will be visiting again!

Our stay at the Frederick House was 'our home away from home' - the house was impeccable and our room was cozy and quiet. Our room, which had a deck, gave us a view of the neighborhood and a place to sit outdoors in the beautiful springtime weather. Each morning our host, Franz, delivered us a lovely picnic basket filled with an abundance of fresh breakfast foods, as well as a carafe of juice and coffee.

We were greeted by Martin; one of the owners of Frederick Park House, the check in process was very smooth. Martin discussed what time we would like breakfast; since it would be delivered to our room.

The room was gorgeous; the only slight problem I had was that my companion is a smoker. I had enquired about smoking before booking the accommodation, and was advised moderate; out of window only. We complied with this; but on the morning of the last day; we were asked to refrain from smoking in the room because non smokers had booked the room for the next day. I totally understood the request; but feel that the management should make the establishment totally non smoking and make this clear on the website.

Wonderful location; really friendly hosts; tips on rated restuarants and places to visit that were a bit of the beaten track helped to make the visit special. The Frederick Park House is immaculately decorated and maintained with nice quirky touches - I would stay again.

A beautiful, small hotel in a quiet location fairly centrally located. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, very comfortable with a lovely balcony. The idea of breakfast in the room was lovely and a thousand times nicer then having to go to a breakfast room. The staff were wonderful and the whole experience was wonderful. Maybe the only thing missing was a bath.

reservations, directions, best way to the
airport on public transport. He was an

Park House was not anything like a hotel.

Amsterdam for a year, and traveled around
Europe for over 2 years. In all of the
places I've stayed, this one was by far the
best. Skip the 'chain' hotels. Go visit
Martin at Frederick Park House and have a
truly memorable stay in Amsterdam

The place was spotlessly clean & ideally placed. The breakfast baskets made the stay feel personal & the contents were different every day. We stayed in the loft suite which I thought was very romantic! The hosts were very friendly & knowledgeable & nothing was too much trouble. The only downside was all the stairs.

It's a fabulous B&B with great rooms, great breakfasts (included in room cost) and friendly, helpful hosts. It's located in a nice part of the city -- away form the more touristy spots but on a tram line and easy to get to museums, etc. We loved nearby Uttrechsestraat for its friendly people, restaurants and shops.
