Itīs also 5 walking minutes away from the Jordaan, this area is famous about all the nice restaurants, shops and off course because the Anne Frank House is located in this area. |

Take the train to the Amsterdam Central Station. From there take Tram 1, 2 or 5 and get off at Leidseplein, you can also take Bus 170 and 172 to the Leidseplein. Go straight over the bridge, after the bridge turn right (follow the channel) and you will find us in the second street on your left hand side.

Coming by car:
When you are on the highway Ring A10 You, have to take EXIT S106. At the end of that road turn left in to S100 and second street left again. Just before AVIS rent a car You will than be in Eerste Helmersstraat and we are at number 34.

Take any tram, metro, bus or train going to Central Station. From the Central Station it is only a 5 minute walk to Bickerseiland
Coming out from the Central Station (main entrance facing the tram stops), you turn right direction Ibis Hotel. After passing the Ibis, immediately across the modern (steel) foot bridge and take the stairs up front. In front of you, you'll see a little square and a huge free standing red-brick building with white stripes,and a red door in the middle. Keep this building at your lkefthand side.
With the railtracks at your right side, keep walk straight ahead, till you see at the right the first possibility to walk under the railtrack. This road is called Grote Bickersstraat. The studio is at your lefthand side at number 23 huis . Please use the correct doorbell, we donīt want to disturb our neighbour.
By bus:
If you really don't want to walk, Bickerseiland is two bus stop away (walking is much faster). Bus 22 is located in between the Central Station and Victoria Hotel. Walking towards the bus stop you cross the main bridge with all the tramlines away from the station. On the right hand corner you will find bus 22, next to the canal boats of Holland International. After two stops you get out at the stop called buiten oranjestraat. From here walk under the railtrack. This road is called Grote Bickersstraat. The studio is at your lefthand side at number 23 huis
By taxy:
If you have lots of money, the taxis are waiting in front of the station.
Get ready to be disappointed as they will probably refuse you a ride.
Bickerseiland is too close from the station.
By car:
When you arrive on the A10 (the ring around the city centre) take the ring west and take exit S103 (Haarlem) at the end of the exit turn right direction centrum. Now you are on the Haarlemmerweg. Just follow the
Haarlemmerweg until the end where you cross the bridge, (you can see an old square gate of the city, at your lefthand). After the bridge, turn left
and follow the mainroad to the right, paralel with the railway tracks at your lefthandside). Take the first possibility to drive under the railtracks.This road is called Grote Bickersstraat and leads you directly to the studio at number 23 huis.
Parking: Five minutes (walking) away from Bkickkerseiland you can park your car in an underground parking opposite the Central Station. If you walk out the front door you turn right and in front of Lovers canal boats you will see the parking. |
