daphne was very welcoming made checking in like coming home
even took her time to show us a map of the area and show us a nice resturant as we were hungry

Entrpotdok was a disapointment.
Quality was poorer than indicated on the website. We spent the first 2 hours cleaning the apartment as it was not clean enough - everyting from toilet to fridge.
Website did not make clear that the owner lived 3 feet across the hall with a louvred door whihc was completely hopeless froma sound insulation point of view.
First night, owner had friend around and noise travelled right through Entrepotdok. I complained at 11.55 pm that we were trying to get to sleep and to keep the noise down. No further trouble after this, but it detracted from our stay.

Daphne greeted us with a smile. She and Jerry were extremely helpful, polite hosts.

We had high expectations from what was presented on the web site. It was better than expected! The view from the upstairs bay window was incredible. The apartment was clean and Daphne left us a nice bouquet of flowers. It was great staying in a more non-touristy part of the city.

The Entrepotdok apartment is beautiful and wonderful; a great value. We would definitely stay there again and have recommended the apartment to our friends. The spiral staircase added to the beauty of the apartment and was very managable. The downstairs bedroom provided privacy (there were two couples).

The apartment is an ideal location for
discovering Amsterdam. It is possible to
walk to many places including Central
Station and the canal boats, you are passed
throughout the day by a parade of colourful
tour boats, yet at night it is very
peaceful. The views from the apartment are
indeed fabulous. The apartment is full of
character and the owner is an interesting
and charming woman. We could not imagine a
better place to have stayed on our first
visit to Amsterdam!

Us 5 girlies together had a lovely stay. It helped make our weekend, it wouldn't have been the same if we stayed in 2/3 rooms of hotel. Accommodation was excellent over looking canals. Absolutely fabulous, more than met expectations for what we paid! Only one minor discrepancy, one bed had mistakenly not been changed.. but this was soon addressed. Would highly reccommend. Its a 20 minute walk from the centre, one of the 3 canal lines is just outside apartment for you to hop on barge and have leisurely cruise. :-)

Breathtaking view from the appartment, would make one want to stay indoor all day. Very pleasant and cheerfull owner which just made the stay much more better. The appartment is 10 mins walk away from all the major attractions, yet in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood. It made our stay very special in amsterdam.

We arrived earlier than agreed and the agent was happy to let us leave our luggage until the room was cleaned which was really kind.

The location was even better than I expected but the cooking facilities, cutlery, crockery etc were very basic. Even though we only expected a microwave, we were a bit surprised that the bathroom basin was where you do the dishes as the bathroom, toilet and kitchenette are right next to each other. It is probably best to stay there if you eat all your meals out. Having said that, the apartment has a lovely bohemian feel and a stunning location. The owner lives in the next apartment and although a little peculiar, stayed out of our way. I would recommend this apartment to my friends.

I had to buy something to clean the toilett and the dishes and so on.

It was not really cleaned as we arrived and also the dishes should be cleaned better.
It would be good to have something to cook on - only a small oven.
The bedcloth didnīt feel cleaned.

that there is no space for cars arround,
that the shower is in the middel of the livingroom and not in a seperat room.

Upon arrival the host had forgotten we had
made a booking and was about 9 out of 10 on
the drunk scale--unable to string a sentance
together. then the sheets were soaked wet
for some reason and so we asked her to
change them-- she put them in the washing
machine (we think) but later that night we
assumed she had forgotten or passed out
because there were no sheets on the bed-- we
ended up having to use a doona cover

Daphnie, was a welcoming, kind and warm host. Daphnie went above and beyond the call of duty to accomadate me when I had missed my flight, I will not forget this any time soom. This cheerfull, sunny, breezy apartment was simply stunning and with great views to boot. I would stay here again in a heatbeat.

Best canal view in Amsterdam! Bathroom setup is fine (not sure what other reviewers had issues with). Upper floor set up as studio style apartment. Very nice having split bedrooms. Lots of space for the money. Coffee and tea were provided. Owner is wonderful--helpful, kind, and accomodating with requests.

This was a very efficient site to use, answers were very prompt and there was no ambiguity in the conditions or booking language.

While the photos on the website are awesome, seeing the views in person was even more impressive. The owner/hostess, Daphne, was a very personable host and always interesting to talk to, providing much insight into Amsterdam besides the tourist side of things. Will definitely try to book there again on any return trip to Amsterdam.

Might be stated that the property is located close enough to the RLD/center of Amsterdam to enjoy the tourist side of things, without being bothered by all the tourist traffic. It's location was incredible, in a quaint area to the east of the Central Station, with enough ameneties nearby to do your own thing, for example restaurants and cafes within a two minute walk, a Spar right around the corner, the Zoo, NEMO, Troppenmuseum, Museum of Dutch Resistance, and Hortus Botanicus all within a 5-10 walk. The Museumplein was only 15 minute walk, and less than 10 minutes to Central Station.

Didn't mention that the owner lives just downstairs but it was fine because Daphane was so lovely! Plus, there's no curfew and you get you own set of keys which is very convenient!!

Entrepotdok was the perfect place to stay for our time in Amsterdam. The location was not far at all from the centre of town, but enough distance from the town to have some peace and quiet from such a busy city. The area was lovely and being situated over the canal was lovely too! Also being allowed to smoke in the apartment was great too, especially if you just want a quiet night in with the good stuff! Furthermore, the lady (owner) was sooo nice, which made all the difference. I plan to go back to Amsterdam again, and will definately go back to the same accomodation! In all, thumbs up!

We had forgotten to confirm our arrival time with Daphne. However, she was there, waiting for us and accommodated us very graciously.

Daphne was a wonderful host. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and looked after. We were not expecting breakfast, which Daphne prepared every day. Some days it was omlets, others, pancakes. I have already recommended this accommodation to others.

the only issue was the shower being in one of the bedrooms as we were on holiday with another couple. everything else was great. oh, and the lady who stayed at the apartment smoked and the smell came into the bottom bedroom quite a lot.

the map for how to get there was not good - it suggested that the property was on the other side of the canal and didnt match up with the written instructions - we found a better map on the net that indicated exactly where number 1 entropotdok is, so i'd recommend you change the map!

The house and host were lovely - recommended on all counts - however, 2 of the chairs upstairs had broken legs which meant they couldnt be used which was a lost opportunity. (There were however enough chairs for all 3 of us.)

The apartment has a real charm to it, with the sort of mix of quirky, exotic touches that the dutch are really good at. Lovely views - and in a good location too - quiet, but close to where you want to go. It also provides amusing views of amsterdam's boats in action, so there is always something to look at. Pubs and restaurants within 20 metres were all good, so you could literally nip out for dinner or a nightcap. but they weren't noisy when you came back to collapse at night. The hostess was the sort of person you'd want to get to know - confirming my prejudice that staying with hosts who are advertised as 'gay friendly' is always a good idea, even if you're straight.

Entrepotdok is no more than a 10 minute walk to the entertainment center of the city and is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The accomodations provide everything you'd need for a stay in Amsterdam. Staff was very helpful and charming.

'Homey' apartment feel. Very comfortable with beautiful view of the canals it sits on. Perfectly secluded from the hustle and bustle of the city without being too far to walk to most destinations.

Due to the design of the windows, you cannot open the windoes without drawing back the curtains. The apartment could get a bit stuffy unless we compromise on our privacy by opening the curtains.

Pretty ok. Clean, Nice view and very quiet. The two bedrooms are well connected with a spiral staircase. It really gives us some privacy in that sense. However, the apartment is more suitable for a family of three, I must say, rather than a travelling group. It's because there is no separate bathroom. It's just in the bedroom of the upper level. It really creates inconveniency when taking a shower.
