Next door to the hotel, in a 17th Century warehouse, guests will enjoy a fine meal in the hotel's popular De Prinsenkelder Restaurant which specialises in fine international cuisine. |
A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY The first Dikker` & Co Shop was founded in 1895 by Mr. A.W. Dikker and soon became famous in Amsterdam and the rest of Holland for its quality. Henri Thijs became a partner in 1915 after being the assistant of the famous French chef Auguste Escoffier. In 1921 the majestic Prinsengracht building became the new address of Dikker & Thijs.
Today, more than 100 years later, a lot has changed but the new Dikker & Thijs Fenice Hotel still respects the spirit of the founders. In 2001 the historical hotel was completely redecorated in a lavish classic style. |
