In the formerly warehouse 'De Prins', dated from 1737, the restaurant 'The Prinsenkelder' offers an excellent international cuisine. Opened for dinner only, closed on Sunday and Monday, the Prinsenkelder has been a favourite dining-place in Amsterdam for the last forty years. 

The restaurant is
situated in a cosy informal cellar of an 18th-century former warehouse and was founded by the famous Dutch gourmets Dikker & Thijs in the twenties.
 
The friendly multilingual staff is always available to make your stay in Amsterdam unforgettable and will help you with secretarial services, with finding bars, restaurants, sport facilities etc. Several excursions and trips can be booked via the reception staff. Internet point available at an extra charge.

The Dikker & Thijs Fenice Hotel is located in the middle of the main shopping area. Within walking distance you will find the 'Spiegelstraat', an historical neighbourhood with over seventy specialised shops with a wide variety of art and antiques, and around the corner on the Leidseplein you can find a lot of bars and restaurants open until late at night.

Within walking distance are also located: the Rijksmuseum (Rembrandt and other famous Dutch Old Masters), the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum (modern art) and the Anne Frank Huis. Also in the neighbourhood: the Concertgebouw, theatres, cinemas, the Heineken Brewery, the Diamond Centre, starting points of Canal Cruises and the main shopping streets.
