A huge thank-you to Henk for allowing my party to stay longer in the apartments. We had an evening flight so made use of the apartments until it was time to leave. Wa really appreciated as it gave us longer to stay in bed in the morning!

The only, and I emphasise only, disappointment was that I did ask for the fridge to be filled, and that did not take place. Other than that, the apartment fulfilled all of my expectations and more.

The receptionist was very accommodating, and allowed us to store our luggage under the stairs, which was extremely helpful.

I would play up the fact you are absolutely central to everything, as it was great to be so close to the action. It is spacious and clean and airy.

Somebody else actually booked in for me but i understand that the process was easy and trouble free.

The apartment was very large and ideal location for getting about the city. It is located in a very popular area and can be quite noisy early on and late at night however the bedrooms were still quiet enough to sleep. And the street scene from the lounge window is fantastic to watch over during breakfast or at night.

Very large, ideal location and for a group of 5 or more works out cheaper than a hotel per night. Excellent facilities if you fancy some time just chilling out at your base.

We took a taxi from central station, because there was a heavy rain. Taxi couldnt get realy close since most streets are one way or pedestrian only. We were droped at about 10 min. walk from the appartment and we got lost. We called De Monnik who gave us very clear instructions how to get to them from where we were. Much easier is to just walk from Central,which is not more than 10 min, instead of paying expensive taxi fare, go round in circles and stil walk afterwards.

+ Excellent location, friendly staff, everything you need for your stay, good internet connection, super clean. I loved the fact that tons of tea and coffee were provided and stacks of towels in the bathroom. Normaly when you check in in a hotel they only provide enough for one day. We had 9 different types of tea and at least 20 towels!
- Steep, narrow steps-not suitable for toddlers or old people. It was OK for us. One has to get organised since kithcen,living room and bathroom are all on different levels.

The taxi ride from the airport was nice until we got into the center of city. You should get the name of the taxi stand that it right down the street. Only a 1 minute walk from there.

Easy checkout, just lock-up and drop off your keys in the basket.

The place was awesome, at an awesome location. My only complaint is there is alot of stairs to climb to get to the apartment. But we will definitely stay there again!!!

A lovely apartment with more beds than expected. Plenty of clean towels and extremely well equiped. It was good to have tea bags coffee and condiments left for us to use.Would definitely recommend it to anyone.
I did spot a mouse on our last morning so I think every effort should be made to eliminate them.

A smart, clean, well equipped and comfortable apartment very well positioned. It was amazingly quiet at night considering its central position. So much more relaxing than a pokey hotel room. A good place for family or friends to share time together.

It could possibly have been made clearer to me as to the layout of the accommodation. It was advised that there were three bedrooms, however I was not clear that they were on 3 levels and that inbetween there were very steep stairs. I was not happy with my children sleeping on different floors from me and so my two children and my husband and I slept in the one room.

It was very much appreciated that we were able to have a late check out.
I have mentioned in q11 that staff were prepared for the check out - all we had to do was leave the keys and make sure that the doors were locked properly.

Written directions are confusing because an intermediate street is missing. Monniken street does not connect to the main street listed in the directions - there is another street in between. (although this is probably clear from a map)

The apartment was beautiful. The only minor inconvenience, other than the directions, was that the main office was not always staffed. We arranged for someone to be there when we arrived, and they were, but when we returned at the appointed time to get our keys, no one was in the office. A phone number is listed outside to call, but for those of use without international cell phones, it was a bit difficult to find a pay phone. Perhaps directions to the nearest phone should be listed on the sign along with the phone number.

We checked into the apartment after hours (between 8:30 and 9), but we arrived exactly when we said we would be there. We had to call a number posted on the door to contact the person who came to let us in (he arrived 5-10 minutes later). If we didn't have a cell phone that worked in Amsterdam (we are from the US), we would have had trouble contacting them.

Although there was no one at the office when we arrived this was because we arrived late in the evening - there was a number to call and there was somebody to greet us within 5 minutes of calling.
YOu could make the online booking forms clearer this seemed to cause a bit of confusion prior to arriving - ie how many rooms or appartments we wanted etc.

again - because we were leaving very early in the morning and had already settled the bill there was no real checkout process so I can't really comment

The email communication i had made with respect to groceries had not filtered through. luckily i had called in advance and was able to brief Henk. he then assisted. i was directed to the office by one of the business people in the area after ringing the bell at 19 monnik

Absolutely great. Hot water was not working, alerted Henk, he had it fixed within 30 minutes.

Well, i did not know it bordered on the Red Light District until checking the Amsterdam map. I found it wonderful, but may think that some guests would want to be prepared

A few of the apartments have bedrooms on the street side of the building which are VERY noisy. As long as one can have a bedroom off the street, the accommodation is outstanding.

The apartment was definitely big enough and relatively quiet, especially given the location. The apartment could have been ALOT cleaner and that was one very disappointing aspect to the holiday as we were there is children and their environment should be much cleaner. The coffee maker didn't really work (the on/off button didn't stay 'on' unless someone was actually standing there to push it). You should let them know that the coffee maker should be replaced.
