The Clemens Hotel was wonderful! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The location is perfect for visiting the different areas of the city. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Amsterdam.

danielle was great and took our bags before the check-in time. we were also given a drink whilst we checked in. she's great.

i dont think you should state this on the webiste but i would certainy advise changing the room we stayed in a little and moving the bathroom so that there is space to actually sit on the toilet as opposed to sitting sideways! it was not too bad as we are young and also short but for someone else it could prove impossible to use the toilet.

The directions were only fairly clear, and the construction made the hotel extremely difficult to find.

The property was generally as described on the website. The only exception is that the walls were thin. So, if the other guests were quiet, then it was a quiet hotel. Otherwise, we could hear their every conversation in the neighboring rooms and hallways and all disagreements/arguements. The breakfast was fabulous!

The amount of stairs should be clear. There are 2 flights to get to the bottom floor of the hotel and possibly 2 more flights of stair to get to the room with no elevator.

The accomodations were convienantly located near restaraunts and transportation. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic, but had all the necessities. The walls were too thin and we could hear every conversation of the neighboring rooms and in the hallway.

The receptionist was very helpful and offered a refreshment as I filled out the registration form.

The room could use a bit of new paint. Newer or cleaner bedspreads would be appreciated. Overall, in this price range and at this location (literally 3 blocks from Dam Square)a fine place to stay. Staff were always polite and helpful. Stairs leading up to Reception and rooms is not for the faint of heart.

The room was lovely, service was excellent and we received a complimentary drink. We was also allowed into the room earlier than checkin as the room was nearly ready when we arrived.

Excellent, central location - good transport links to everywhere. Very polite and helpful staff - told us all best places to go and any trams/train numbers to catch. Rooms clean and well maintained.

there was a small problem because we were
leaving early in the morning and there
wouldn't be anyone at the reception to check out.But we finally managed to find a solution with the staff.

Somethimg should be mentioned about the rather
dangerous stairs that lead to the rooms but
as I understand this is a problem that and other hotels in Amsterdam are facing.

This is a very cosy and clean traditional
hotel in the centre of Amsterdam.Highly recommended for young people.

We had booked a room with 2 sigle beds and the receptionnist offered us to take a room with one large bed. Thank you !
