It was a snowy day and we arrived cold and tired from our overnight flight. The staff could not have been nicer, planting us in the lounge area with nice hot coffee and taking our luggage to our room. We felt welcome and well taken care of.

I came to Amsterdam to find an apartment for
my son who was attending school for one
semester. I had one week. The people at the
Amsterdam Hotel were extremely helpful
suggesting the areas that would be good. We
used their input to finalize which place to
choose. I think we made an excellent choice.

Fast, easy and very clear explainations of our
expenses.

They told us about the various package s to
the museums,boats,,etc.. We weren't the long
enough to take advantage oof these, but we did
buy several many days of tram tickets. They
always gave us a map and explained which tram
to take. They were great!!

It was warm and friendly. The breakfasts were
delicious. The apartment was great, we were
so lucky to get it. After a long day, it was
great to come home and relax and enjoy the
view at the canal and street. We each had our
own room and the beds were so comfortable and
warm. When I go back, I want the same
apartment, because it felt like home.

Very helpful and polite staff welcomed us and provided local information, ordered taxis etc throughout our stay.

Fun and contemporary. Small but individually decorated (hand painted wall and ceiling murals) rooms and reception. Nice touches like cheap beer in vending machine and free water in reception. Great breakfast, great staff. Not luxurious or spacious enough for a long stay but a very comfortable, value for money, short stay hotel.

My daughter and I were very grateful to have the young man at the desk carry our heavy luggage up the two flights of stairs to our room.

Our room overlooking the canal was sparkling clean with freshly washed windows. It exceeded our expectations. The location of the hotel was perfect - close to shopping, restaurants, all transportation and on a nice quiet street/canal. It was nice to be able to walk to & from the train station with our luggage.

I would mention that it is only a 5-7 minute walk from the Central Train Station.

Great location and value for money. Great decor in a traditional Amsterdam building overlooking the canal. Close to the busy nightlife but in a quiet location - would stay there again.

Very helpful, receptionist straight away made us a coffee and sat with us to explain about the hotel, show us the facilities and answer any questions, very polite personal service.

We were fortunate enough to have an appartment next door to the hotel which was absolutely massive on 3 floors (lots of steps though!)and was very well furnished but decor was not as high a standard as the hotel but we were over the moon with it!
Still had all the facilities of the hotel at hand for the same price.

They have facilities to securely store your lugage after checkout so that you can leave it at the hotel and pick-up later, useful if you have a late flight.

It was fantastic! The staff served us coffee and biscuits! They answered our every question. They made reservations for us... We have rarely been greeted in a more friendly manner anywhere. It was almost like arriving back at home.

creative, and witty. The continental
breakfast with expresso was just wonderful
with lots of variety of healthy fresh food.
The location is quiet and charming. Wine,
snacks and bottled water is available 24/7. I
wish we could have stayed a week!

The staff were wonderful. The airlines had lost my luggage and the staff were very helpful in making calls to the airline on my behalf.
The breakfast was better than expected in terms of choice and quality.
I would stay here again if ver in Amsterdam.

It was a small room, but it fine for the weekend. I would stay there again, but I would perhaps ask to get a canal view room. Overall, I liked it. I would definitely keep this hotel in mind on my next trip to Amsterdam.

We had a bad experience with the cab driver so when we arrived to the hotel and told the
gentleman at the desk of our experience, he
was so kind and offered to make us a cup of tea and told us to sit down and relax. The
whole staff was great,

The staff was less than helpful when it came to providing directions (other than handing you a map) and refrained from recommending any local restaurants by name in the area. The doors to the rooms were very clucky which required you to almost slam them to get them to close. Due to the close quarters, this had a tendency to make a lot of noise and I am sure it disturbed the other guests, as it did us.

The rooms (kitchen, table, floor, cutlery, cabinet etc.) were very dirty.
The appartment was not jet finally renovated (plaster comes partly down from the wall)

Our room only had a 'cat flap' up at the ceiling as an excuse for a window. The bathroom ceiling was so low that you could not stand up in the shower. Breakfast staff was lazy and rude and the the breakfast area a mess.

We had 2 rooms and there was a very big difference between the 2 rooms, but we paid the same price for both rooms. I would expect the rate for the much smaller room to be less than the larger room. Other than that, the hotel was very nice.
