Just as you stated. A very quiet hotel. I would look to stay there again as I got a good nights sleep. Not something I always get at hotels I stay in on business. ... Their were no bread rolls for breakfast and the breakfast was pretty limited. ... Nice quiet hotel away from the noise and madness of central Amsterdam yet only 10 minutes from everything on the tram.

Very helpful in terms of providing directions, travel and tourist tips, etc. ... I had an early morning meeting one day and had to leave before breakfast. The staff volunteered that breakfast was almost ready anyway, and served me before their published hours. Very helpful.
... I checked out early as I had an early flight. The staff was very accomodating in that regard. Also, I needed my bill split into two separate receipts, and again that was no problem. ... I was hoping to get a queen size bed - one larger mattress, not two twin beds pushed together. ... Beautiful, excellent location and most helpful staff.

The only improvement I would recommend is replacement of the shower heads. The extremely low flow shower head creates a fine mist which was very difficult to obtain temperature control. Amsterdam does not appear to have water supply problems so having such low flow showers does not appear to be necessary. ... It is a hidden jewel. It is not a luxury hotel but satisfied our desire to experience a typical European hotel. The continental breakfast was very nice and good quality. ... We especially enjoyed the quiet residential neighborhood ajacent to Vondel Park. Access to the tram was good. We would not hesitate to recommend Villa Borgmann to anyone who does not expect a 5 star hotel.

Everyone with whom I dealt at the hotel was pleasant and very thoughtful and helpful. I enjoyed the location of the hotel and made good use of the park for walking. When I had questions about the area I couldn't have asked for the staff to be nicer and more helpful.
... See above. I'll be glad to recommend you to others who wish to visit Amsterdam. ... Compared to the four other hotels I used on this trip yours was the most expensive for the square footage, the only slight down-fall. ... A pleasant hotel located in a neighborhood with a wonderful view of a canal and the Vondelpark, which is a pleasant place to walk.

No tea and coffee making facilities ... No tea or coffee making facilities in the room on on room service English people do like to drink tea! ... Clean very frindly and helpful staff. The only dissapointment was lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Our room was at the front of the hotel which overlooked a quiet road not much to look at, but the room and bathroom were clean and the beds comfortable. I would be quite happy to go back again as the hotel was not far from the tram stop as the very helpful gentleman will tell you. The Vondell park was less than 5 minutes round the corner. There is not a lot of lighting around the area if you come back late at night

Very friendly, charming and helpful person at reception. Nice view from the (tiny) room.
Breakfast substantial.
Directions confusing - from Emma Straat tram stop, a short walk along your street is direct and easy and takes 5 minutes. ... Thank you ... Charming hotel in a very quiet location near the VondelPark. Easy to access.
Staff exceptionally helpful and kind.
The room was tiny but clean and comfortable.

The room was much smaller than I had thought it would be for the price, and the dutch breakfast left a lot to be desired, but overall it was a good stay.
This hotel is out of the way in a residential area, but convenient (a short walk) to the Tram (#2) which takes one directly to the Museum district or to the Leidseplein or up around Central Station. (one could also walk up to the Leiseplein through the park(but this is a longer walk).
Very Picturesque scenery outside the window towards the Park.
While this hotel was fine for a short stay(a couple of days), I would not recommend it for a long stay due to the small size of the rooms and lack of other services of a larger hotel.

We would have appreciated tea & coffee facilities in the room. Something we missed after experience in all other hotels we have stayed in both in UK.,Europe, USA. ... Staff wre very helpful with booking a taxi for the airport and holding our luggage until we required it-some 3hours after check out time.

The single rooms were extremely small, i.e. I do not believe that the price/room quality is adequate (i.e. more 2 stars than 3). While the staff was very helpful and friendly, I will probably not choose this hotel again.
