The web sites instructions regarding trains from the airport to Leylaan (?) where we got the tram, were clear and easy to follow. We found Blaine's at the Park with no problem. We were greeted by our host, Peter Waltz, who was wonderful and helped make our stay extra special. ... Blaine's at the Park was wonderful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The Garden Room and ensuite was gorgeous. Breakfasts were lovely, sitting around one table getting to know not only the other guests but also Peter Waltz who runs Blaine's. The two house cats made staying at Blaine's a real home from home for us. Our daughter, Lydia, loved the whole experience and adored both Peter and the cats. Blaine's is ideally situated for visiting all the sights of Amsterdam, yet is tucked away in a quiet street in a 'real' neighbourhood. Fantastic 'eet cafes' just around the corner and across the park some fantastic shopping. A major plus for us was eating at Peter and Blaine's restaurant 'Seasons'. It was the best meal we ate in Amsterdam (and all the food was good) but the menu, service and ambiance was perfect. All guest staying at the B&B recieve a fantastic deal for eating there and we would certainly recommend 'Seasons' to anyone visiting Amsterdam. All in all Blaine's at the Park was fabulous. ... Check out went as smoothly as check in. ... I think the personal touch that Peter adds should be mentioned. Whilst we were there another guest was ill and Peter arranged for her to see his own Doctor with no hesitation. There is nothing negative about Blaine's at the Park. ... A little touch of heaven tucked away in a lovely neighbourhood of Amsterdam, a real home from home.

The accomodation has residential cats; which may not be suitable for people with allergies; however, we loved them and it added to the enjoyable stay we had in Amsterdam
The Garden room was on the first floor, which you had to access via extremely steep stairs; OK for us; however, not suitable for everyone.
... A great place to relax; especially in the Garden Room; which had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Great access to the city centre via the tram and also walking distance on a nice sunny day. Blaine & Peter also had a restaurant called Seasons, which I'd recommend to everyone who paid a visit to amsterdam.

We had to pay a 5% extra for credit card payment. ... The one above about the extra charge for credit card payment. ... We had a very pleasant stay at Blaine's. Everything was beautiful and Peter's breakfast and talks were great.

We arrived very late due to plane cancellations, etc, but provisions were made for our arrival, so exhausted and ill-tempered we were made to feel welcome ... Blaines is an extraordinarily lovely place-The decoration is personal and unusual, the place is cozy and welcoming. Our hosts were kind and helpful. And we made great friends at breakfast! ... The photographs don't do it justice. The color and design are quite elegant, but homey at the same time. I am in the arts and so very sensitive to decor...it was wonderful. ... Small, cozy, beautiful, well-located, terrific service.

The host was very welcoming and friendly. He gave lots of time to explain where everthing was and answer questions. He was always helpful. The breakfast was superb and beautifully served. We were put in a room different to the one originally offered, but it was a more suitable, spacious room with a wonderful private bathroom. We would reccomend this guesthouse to anybody and would definitely go again. ... Clean, quiet, welcoming. Other guests really nice. ... Really helpful ... Steep stairs - unsuitable for very elderly or infirm.Quiet, safe. Near to the museums. Excellent public transport within 2 minutes. ... Really nice house in beautiful area near the park. Safe, on a quiet road away from traffic noise, away from public.Restaurants and museums within walking distance. Twin room spacious, clean, light, comfortable beds and great bathroom. Terrific breakfast, served beautifully. Host could not be more friendly, courteous and helpful. Would definitely stay again and reccommend to friends.

I put above that there was no-one there to greet us. We called the Landlord saying we'd arrive and he said is was two minutes away, we'd got there a little earlier than he had expected, which was fine. I'd called him a day or two before to confirm, and he said that was fine. He'd envisaged what with baggage passport control etc, we'd be about an hour, but we managed to get to Blaines sooner. ... Lovely place. Very quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the park. Host extremely helpful for those who've not been before. Got out the maps of the city, where to go, things to see etc. Host runs another B & B across town, and owns a restaurant, so he was in and out all the time. You are left to your own devices which is great. ... Again staff were great. Rather than stand on a busy road trying to hail a cab, they very kindly called one for us. ... The only thing I would say (And we didnt have a problem with it) is they have a little cocker spaniel, and two cats. Some people may take umbrage at that, but we never saw them once the initial excitement of us arriving had subsided. ... I'd describe it as a lovely clean airy spacious townhouse with a lovely landlord, situated in a cul-de-sac beside the park, and a 10 - 15 minute walk to the town centre. Very residential, quiet unassuming place. We told them one of the things we'd like to do during our stay was to visit a very fancy 'expensive' restaurant. We asked what they'd recommend, and not only did they do that, but they booked it for us as well. It was a treat.

Peter was very welcoming. Upon arrival he provided us with a map of Amsterdam and highlight things to see and do and provided other helpful hints. ... Our stay at Blaine's was above and beyond what we expected and at the end of our trip it was a nice surprise. The accomodations were beautiful and breakfast was more than sufficient. The dog, Roxy, and two cats were great and made our stay more memorable. Be sure to have dinner at their restaurant Season's.

The directions were a little confusing because the 'hospital' is not called a hospital and so we couldn't really recognize it. We also weren't sure of the direction to walk once I got off the tram. It said 'walk back' but the didn't really make sense. ... Peter was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. I was not a big fan of having a cat come into my room but other than that it was great.

We arrived much earlier than planned but despite of that, we could have moved to our room immediately. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. ... We stayed in a very nice and spacious room with nice overview of the garden below. ... As there was nobody else coming to the room right after us, we could have checked out anytime during the last day which was very convenient for us. ... N/A ... Nice and friendly atmosphere + really an ideal location for discovering the beauty of Amsterdam.
