On our arrival we were greeted by the receptionist on duty that day. She was extremly helpfull and gave us all the information we needed to travel around amstedam.

I booked this for my partners birthday. We had a great time staying at the hotel. The hotel was clean tidy and all the staff were extremly polite and helpfull. Amsterdam is a wonderful place and if we go back we would not hesitate to go back to this hotel.

Welcoming, spacious, great value for money, just half hour walk from main centre of Amsterdam. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Reasonable rates.

The staff at bicycle hotel are amazing. I lost my passport on arrival and they rang the airport the taxi company and then customs for me (it was located at customs) they also pre ordered a taxi for us as our flight was so early on departure. What an amazing hotel !!

I could not recommend a better place to stay the location was ideal as the walk to the dam was interesting and ensured we saw more of the dutch culture. The trams where easily accesible and the staff provided us with a map which served us for our whole stay.

Not having the telephone in the rooms was producing us so much difficulties.
Normally in TWO Stars hotel in all over the world we can found the telephone inroom.Especially in Bicycle hotel the stairs format was not easy to come down and go up several times a day.
Anyway their kindness is appreciated.

Yes for example when there is no Shampoo ,no savon in the rooms ,this issue certainly should be mentioned on the website.

We had the impression that the rooms were not really cleaned before we came - bins were full of rubbish from previous guestes and bedlinnen were greased. It was rather off-putting. Otherwise it was fine.

The room was very cute ! The stairs were a bit steep but fine. It's a good location and the people were very nice. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. It was nice to have coffee in the morning.

Clean, but small toliet and shower, nice and simple furniture... Free internet (two computers)...

meant to mention this comment to the
folks there - but forgot. The directions
to the hotel state one can take the 24 or
25 tram and get off at Ceinturbaan but
the 24 doesn't go there because of the
construction. I think you should modify
your directions. I think one can take the
24 but they just need to get off in a
different place (where the flowermarket
is). Anyway, this is a very nice place
and thanks so much.

Due to recent surgery the stairs were
hard to navigate with a bag -- staff was
helpful and carried it down for me and
allowed me to store it while I was gone
for one night.
Also, I was in the midst of trying to buy
a house while on vacation. I was able to
have paperwork faxed to me at the hotel.
Very nice and helpful folks!

No frills, but very comforatable with fiendly and helpful staff. Simple, but good breakfast. A quiet side street location, but in an interesting and entertaining part of the city. Excellent restaurants nearby. Very steep stairs to the upper floors making hauling luggage a bit difficult, but it just added to the uniqueness of the experience (I wouldn't suggest it for elderly people however). I appreciated the opportunity to rent a bicycle from the hotel.

The directions to the hotel were a bit confusing, the geography of the area means any place that isn't right in front of the train station is going to be hard to describe.

I was very impressed that my friend and I were given our own set of keys for main door and bedroom door. When we hired bikes they came with very good locks, and we were each given a key to a building across the street to store them at night.
This gave us a lot of independance with regard to leaving(or returning) early in the morning or late at night without having to worry about upsetting staff or patrons.

Very efficient and helpful, they did their utmost to keep our bill low. They were very honest and trusting.

Eating and drinking in rooms is against rules. Smoke detectors are very sensitive in the rooms, didn't manage to set them off tho )

The only reason we had to pay more than expected was because we paid by credit card and there was an extra charge for this. The price of the actual room was the same.

There are very steep stairs to all of the rooms, so it wouldn't be suitable for disabled or elderly, unless perhaps they requested a room on the first floor.

Really lovely, in a pleasant area, slightly off the main drag but with plenty of amenities nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a delicious breakfast!

We had a three bed room and it was cramped with very little storage space. It was no more than adequate.
The breakfast room and service were both excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice, friendly place to stay, only a short walk from the main areas. Really like their breakfast arrangements - easy and informal. Rooms are basic and certainly not luxurious, but they are adequate.

We stayed in the house owned by the Bicycle Hotel. It was a wonderful place to stay for a family. (I wouldn't recommend it for families with toddlers because the stairs are very steep). The location was great for us - near the Amstel canal, a little playground across the street and a park with a bigger playground 1 block away. The accommodations, although not fancy, were very clean and tastefully decorated. We loved seeing Amsterdam on our bikes. It is an incredible city.

It is a four-story with house with a room on every floor - very steep stairs. It is located on a quiet street just off the Amstel Canal. It is newly remodeled, very clean and nicely decorated. There are many wonderful places to eat nearby. Our experience was great!

The staff were very enthusiastic that you had breakfast! Which on the whole was nice, toast, coffee, tea and cereal.

I say the property was worse because I wasn't expecting a bunk bed; the TV remote control didn't work; and the towels were never replaced. (I didn't have time to speak with the staff about the towels. But I left them outside the room as indicated in the instructions on the wall of my room, and they were not replaced.)

They are too flexible and is possible to arrange in advance a bit latter check-out.

It should be useful to mention that there is no front desk at all, and the diferent persons encharged for reception change every day. However, from 8:00 to 23:00 there is always somebody around.

Quite, comfortable, staff is open minded and 100% nice and helpful.
Rooms are basic but preaty clean and hot water in shower is always available. Location is not bad and could be easily find along with the day light, but at night surroundings are quite, dark and very few people around. Recomended for those in sightseeing activities.

We could check in after 15:00 PM. The webpage and a previous e-mail from the hotel staff said we will be able to check in after 13:00 PM. But this wasn't a problem for us, because the receptionist allowed to us to leave our bagage at the reception.

We had a triple room. There is only 1 picture from a room like this. The other pictures give a better view from the hotel and this would be delusive.
The room was clean and everything was OK, but there wasn't hair dryer in it.

Bicycle hotel is a quiet, clean hotel for you if you want to stay near the city center and to the spectactles. The hotel staff is very friendly, they speak English very well. The breakfast is enough and delicious. The price is correct. I recommend you if you plan to visit Amsterdam.
