It was strange not to have the reception on the ground floor and the reception and rooms in the same building. ... Hotel Bellington is a very nice hotel. I found it to be very well situated and attired though with the reception and breakfast room in the next building it was a little odd. ... Good value for money, nice spacious room. I wouldnt feel cheated, could do with having better breakfast.

Arrival was very easy - checking in was very efficient. ... The property had everything as advertised but only to the very minimum. ... checking out was very easy too. Hotel Bellington kindly allowed us to keep our bags in reception on out checkout day so we didn't need to lug them through the city all day. ... The stairs are exceptionally steep (probably a trait throughout the city). We were unlucky enough to have a third floor room! ... The accomodation was ok for our requirement but nowhere near as impressive as the impression givenon your website. The room was very small and smelt badly of cigarette smoke. 'Breakfast' was minimal. Staff were veery friendly though. i would look to stay somewhere else next time I go to Amsterdam but wouldn't rule out staying at Bellington again if need be.

Everything was neat and clean, the staff very polite and helpful, but street noises were sometimes annoying - nest time I will ask for a back room! The hotel was quite affordable and good budget accommodation.
It is also very convenient for visiting sites on Museum park, near tram and bus stops. ... That there is no lift. ... Nice clean, affordable and convenient accommodation.

I had asked for the modification for extension by a day. I was ofered one in a higher price category.
Facility should made available for extension if accommodation is available. ... I discovered the location of Hotel Bellington close to the museum area was very convienent for us. ... As we wanted to extend our stay for a day, we had to pay tarriff for a higher priced room for the final day. other wise there were no problems with checking out. ... Should include proximity to museum place.
location on the street where very good international brand shops are present should be emphasised.
Route maps to best known sites of Amsterdam should be made avaialbe in the hotel. ... Cosy comforatable. Quiet area. easy access to city. Most convienent for Museum buffs.

Room condition was not quite as good as the web pictures suggested. The fridge was quite old and did not have a freezer compartment which would have been nice to make ice cubes. ... Excellent location. Stairs very steep for handling suitcases.

Would have liked to pay by credit card, although I realise very few Amsterdam accept plastic ... TV was unreliable. Toilet was small and dark, Otherwise good. ... The Hotel was good enough to allow us to leave luggage after check out. ... Balcony in some rooms. BBC on TV's ... Tall building, lots of stairs. Small Bathroom, but room overall was good. Breakfast unspectacular but OK.

the positioning of the hotel was absolutely brilliant. it was set in a beautiful posh street away from the hussle bussle but only minuites away from the madness. the perfect hotel to relax and not be bothered by anyone. perfect for a group of london lads enjoying th echarms of amsterdam ... the fact that it was on a very beutiful posh road. ... perfect positioning because it was set in a lovely part of the town and very very quiet at night. you were left to your own allways. brilliant

very steep stairs; but I guess, that's normal for Amsterdam... ... A small, but cheap, clean and quiet hotel in Amsterdam's most expensive shopping street, near to the most important museums; good value

A strange smell... ... The bathroom and the room were VERY small. After a shower the bathroom was swimming! ... You habe to pay 5 Euros for the key-card for the room, but get it back. ... Absolutely o.k. to stay there for a view days...maybe a week would be too long...not enough space!

We arrived late (00.30)this wasnt a problem, we were given our key and told we could check in the next morning. ... The accomodation was simular to that on the web site. I dare say it was the same at one time however with time the room has become a little worn, although still clean there was a very strong smell of damp and the carpet and paint work could have done with a freshen up. ... We checked out early (7.30) I was told this was OK and to leave the key card in the room, no problems. ... The accomodation is at the top of a very steep set of stairs, this could prove to be a problem for some. ... A very residential area, ideal if you want to escape the crowds. Think peace over pubs and culture over clubs. Not a problem though an alternative is only a 10 minute walk and the center is a 10 tram ride.

Negative - the room, and especially the bathroom, was extremely small ... The rooms are quite small, but clean, and considering the location and the fact that the breakfast is good, it has a fair quality/price ratio.

Bathroom smelled bad ... We had to leave before the breakfast was served. Did not recall this time being stated in web ad. ... The web ad should be clear that breakfast is not served until 8 AM. ... Minimal accommodations. Nice neighborhood.

Didn't realise we had to be there by 5pm. ... The room was very noisy at night with the sound of motor cars, motorcycles, drunks and partygoers making it very difficult to sleep all through the night. No air conditioning meant we had to have the windows open, thus allowing the noise to become very disturbing. It spoilt the whole stay.
A kettle was provided but no cups, saucers, spoons etc. No bin in the bedroom. One ceiling light not working. No extra pillows seemed to be available.
Didn't like the continental style toilets much.
On the other hand the people were very nice and friendly. ... The staff were very helpful and ordered us a taxi. ... Very noisy - only suitable for deaf people of motorcycle enthusiasts. ... Very, very very noisy.

The hotel was in a quiet and nice area of the city. The staff was polite, and friendly. The room was not very clean, and it was very small. There was a little noise from the street early in the evening, but at night it was quiet and we slept well. It was easy to get to the centre of town, by streetcar, and there was a lot of museums in the area. i.e Van Gogh museum

We have arrived at that the hotel at 11:00am and we can understand that the room wasn't ready yet so we left our lagguage at the reception and went shopping. We have returned back at 2:00pm.The prepration of the room was not that good. The weather was very cold and it snowed at that day, but the staff were clever enough and didn't turn on the central heating at our room. Maybe it is a saving policy for the hotel but we don't care our room must be warm upon arrival and we don't have to ask for extra blanckets becuase of that. ... We had cold showers during our stay also. ... Check out time was at 11:00am. We got a reminding call at 10:50am that check out at 11:00am so please evacuate. ... cold showers. cold room. bring extra blanckets. bring your shampoo with you. ... I don't advise a friend to go to that hotel.

When inquiring whether the hotel has a safety box, I was informed yes but I have to pay EUR 100 for the key in the event I miss it. Therefore, I did not want to use the box.
The hotel would have charged extra 5 % of the total bill if I had paid with credit card. Not very nice. ... Nice and reasonable price place with a good and peaceful location.

A nice Hotel in the heart of the city. it was a very nice and helpful way to explore Amsterdam, but it is only useful for bed and breakfast. but that's okay, we just wanted something like that.

Very well located at quiet place in center of Amsterdam, thus very convenient for sightseeing and visiting all interesting places in the city without additional transportation costs like tram, bus, metro, etc..

The only fault with the hotel was the stairs leading to the rooms, they are almost vertical in construction. ... Restricted access for disabled people ... Well situated, near to centre and transport.
