Great place to stay, just a few minutes from the city center. The apartment is very clean and all the fornitures werebrand new, everything was perfect, the owner is very polite...I would reccomend BeByMe to everyone who is looking for an apartment in Amsterdam

Excellent value for money, fantastic service, easy-going and relaxed atmosphere, superb location not far from but outside the centre, feeling that you have your own flat, if only for a short time. Left with the thought that you want to return not only to Amsterdam, but to Be By Me Bed and Breakfast!

because at first time i don't know Amsterdam should be better provide something for breakfast ,including the cost in the room cost,for example milk juice and croissant...

We werent too sure what tram to get on once we left the railway station. But we asked a bus conductor and he pointed us in the right direction and the tram driver told us where to get off. Basically everyone was helpful and if you have a tongue in your head then just use it and ask. Easy! Rita was at the other end of the phone so I let her know when we had got to Amsterdam. She was very helpful via email as well.

We did how ever expect breakfast each morning as it is called a bed and breakfast. We did have one superb breakfast within our 3 night stay and we could choose when we had it and at what time.

We were free to leave the accomodation when we were ready to leave for the airport. We didnt see Rita before we left as she trusted us to leave everything in order. And we did.

Modern, clean, comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Would imagine it is lovely in the summer to sit out in the garden. Ideal for a group of friends to share all the accomodation as we did. Suit a group of 7 or 8 people.

They have a hairdryer for use and a TV with DVD player as well as a drawer full of DVDs for you to watch :)

Ms. Welling was very helpful and arranged for us to get the appartment for part og our stay, because for a very tall man like me (1m 97) the studio is a little bit to low...

It is difficult to find the door (there are two doors - one for guests and one for host.
There isn't recognizable mask with the hotel name on it. So we were lucky since there were guys on the street near doors. There wasn't any info for arriving guests what to do (what ring button to click, what to ask, etc)

The proprietor holder asked to pay for staying during our accomodation. So there wasn't check out procedure since we only locked the room, left the key and closed the entrance door.

It's typical apartaments. The relations between guests and host are extreamly simply and polite.
The conditions are good. Maybe only the internal small yard is not looked as 'patio' - uncomfortable. It looks more attractive on the website photogalery.

It's good place for stay in Amsterdam for a few days. Good location (near to center), easy to get city mainroads to drive to suburban territorries or to othe regions of country.
The room and kitchen are equiped (TV, DVD player, etc.) It's relatively quiet.

Beds were uncomfortably soft leading us to have to sleep on fold out couch which the host was unhappy about. However, in general the stay was pleasant.
It would have been nice to have a hotplate on which to cook.(only microwave was available)

Used a taxi which dropped us off right in front of the place. All we did was give him the address.

We really enjoyed staying at the place. It was perfect for what we were looking for and I would definetly recommend it to any friends traveling to Amsterdam.

Very nice facility to stay at. Close to many of the areas one would like to go, but out of the hustle of the downtown districts. The outdoor patio was an extremely nice feature, especially when you rent out the adjoining apartments.

It's very helpful when the innkeeper can give recommendations to neighborhood restaurants where local folks dine.

It's hard for photographs to capture the size of a room. Because there was construction going on close to the room we had initially booked, the innkeeper had already upgraded us before we arrived, at no additional cost, to a larger room with a private porch, it was secluded and quiet - no streeth noise, which was a wonderful thing.

Part of the charm and adventure of Amsterdam is the encounter with just how steep the stairwells are in many of the homes, B&B's, and museums. We kept telling ourselves, 'We've climbed up and down Machu Piccu - we can manage these stairs!'

Fantastic - the green room was airy, large, very convenient to wonderful restaurants within a few blocks, convenient also to the trams and neighborhood coffee shops.

We were very pleased with our stay - and would gladly recommend it to friends. Nice, quiet and clean. We didn't dine out as the room had a 'dining place' and there were nice delicatessens in the area and also we were to tired in the evenings!

I can give you only a positive evaluation of my experience with this B&B in Amsterdam:
quiet, wide, clean and good accessories room.

Good connection with the centre of the city, very close to a market, very quiet area, in few words: Amsterdam is a beautiful and comfortable city and our accomodation here will be a pleasant memory.
We hope to come back soon!!!

Great location, out of main tourist traffic, quiet. Going back to the apartment felt like we were living in Amsterdam rather than visiting. Lots of space in the apartment.

we were very pleased with our accomodation. It was extremely clean and quite large with only a small flight of steep stairs. We were provided with a baby cot free of charge.
My only complaint was that the woman who ran it also runs a beauty shop in the front of the house and she was too busy with this to really offer any time to answer questions. It would be nice if we knew that there was a beauty shop in the front of the house because it could be a bit confusing upon first arrival to see a beauty shop and no sign advertizing a B& B. I would however recommend the accomodation and location to others.

The host were in a hurry rushing out for her evening event. The folling day, it's very difficult to reach her. We can only talk to her through the speaker on the outside of her flat. It's very difficult to reach her and request for services.

Their shower/bath tub drain was terrable. Due to it's lower than the sea level in the basement, all water need to be pumped out which made lots of noise and slow drainage in bath tub. Towels were not matching colors or sizes which were usually expected in a hotel or B&B. Basement was dark and humid only have one door can be open to the court yard. There were no computer or e-mail checking point as described on AmsterdamBy.com The host said that she will ask her teenage nephew to set up their computer for us to check e-mail the next day which never hapen, we had to sit around and wasted our time then found out her nephew had no idea we were waiting for the service. When we arrive, the water kettle in the room were full of mold. We had to wash it ourself. The bed were not made the next day. The host explained on the phone that she only made the bed every 2 days.

Due to the poor service, we only stayed 2 nights and paid more then the daily rate for 2 days of service.

the TV was not working, but this was fixed during the evening. the door was very difficult to lock/unlock.

I recommend the owner to purchase an extra bed for small children and to fix the door lock and the drain in the shower.

The room was as stated on the website with one exception. One doorway to the bedroom opened onto a public hallway which was also access to the proprietor's hair dressing business. As a result the bedroom was not as private as we would have liked. Whatever we said or did in the bedroom could easily be heard by those in the hall. I did not complain about this at the time.

This is a very nice little hotel that is wonderfully situated in the city...not too far from anything of interest and some very good restaurants are within easy walking distance. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, etc., and the beds were quite comfortable.
