Travellers Reviews

I already know the area well so travel was no issue, the entrance was very subtle and obviously refurbished recently...very nice. ... The apartment was absolutely brilliant it was the top floor apartment. With a big oven/cooker very roomy and lovely rustic chataux feel and look, my girlfriend and i enjoyed it immensely ... Quick no fuss gave us untill 12 which was nice ... State that you should ring the buzzer for 'the garden suite' to get the attention of the owner. Maybe a microwave would benefit some people to as there was none, i was fine though ... Relaxed, spacious, quiet (unless you open the windows but hey your in the city you should love it) and well equipt

It should be mentioned that the owner has to walk through the apartment to get to hers in the attic, this is not really acceptable but as we arrived quite late, i really could not be bothered to look for other accomodation. If this was mentioned at the time of booking, i would not have stayed in the appartment.

We were allowed to leave our baggage when we arrived very early in the morning, which was very helpful. We were also allowed to check in as soon as the previous guest left, much earlier than the website indicated. This was much appreciated. ... Some might find that the bathroom is not ensuite to be a little bit of a problem. ... Interesting and pleasant.

The on-line directions didn't include the street address. I wandered around the neighborhood for at least 45 minutes and had to ask someone to go on-line for me to find the address. ... The proprietress was very nice and even upgraded my accomodations without extra charge as her nicest room wasn't occupied. ... The nicest place I've ever stayed and a lovely prorietress. Amazingly spacious suite in beautiful period decor, complete with extra-high ceilings and floor to ceiling drapes, coupled with modern amenities- TV, stereo.

The owner herself was not immediately available on our arrival, but we were still greeted warmly and made to feel at home. Shortly after the owner came to greet us and discuss all details pertaining to our stay. She was warm and friendly. ... Our room was beautiful, clean and spacious. We would however like to suggest that some form of literature be present on how to operate electronics such as DVD player (which was not available, but suroundsound was and we were not sure how to operate same, as the instruction manual was for a dvd player). Furthermore, the hi-fi system in our room was not in proper working order and it would have been nice to have this matter checked and attended to prior to our arrival. ... None. ... We stayed in a beautiful self-catering unit, forming part of a home in a very well located area of Amsterdam. WIth own keys and entrance, one is left with privacy and convenience. The rooms are warmly decorated and clean, the whole atmosphere is cosy and homely! It was truly wonderful!

The accommodation is very spacious but it is rather disorganized. E.g. extra furniture in the kitchen. Voucher did not indicate what 'buzzer' had to be pushed at front door upon arrival. It did not even look like an apartment. ... Spacious and clean but rather worn.
... Bathroom is reached via passageway outside apartment. ... Convenient, spacious, basic.
