  • At what time can we check-in and out?
    All accommodations, Check In from 1pm, Check Out before midday.
  • Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
    The price is per room.
  • Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
    Breakfast is not included in the price and children until 12 years is half price.
  • Can we settle the bill on arrival?
    Yes, you can.
  • Which languages are spoken at the reception?
    Dutch, English, French, German.
  • How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
    There are 4 floors and we do have a lift, however in many occasions a few steps should also be involved.
  • Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
    There are classically designed and romantic rooms.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
    No, they do not have.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
    No, they do not have.
  • Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
    40% of the rooms at the Ambassade Hotel are non smoking.
  • Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite or cable TV)?
    There is a satellite TV with 35 channnels, most of them international.
  • Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
    There is a two direct-dial telephone.
  • Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
    No, there is not, but however, we could place a ventilator in your room upon request any time (without charges).
  • Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
    We do have a free Internet connection (ADSL) in all rooms and in the lobby a small Internet point (also free of charge).
  • Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
    There is not a swimming pool.
  • Is parking or garage available?
    Parking is allowed in the street, please be aware of the metres (9.00 to 0.00 hrs.). The reception sells day-cards and three-day cards as well. Alternatively, the reception will give directions to "Europarking" in Marnixstraat: a large public garage. This garage is located within less than 10 minutes walking distance.
  • Where can we rent a car?
    Most international car-hiring companies have their offices at Overtoom-street, a mere 10-15 minute walk from the hotel.
  • Which is the nearest airport?
    Nearest airport is Schiphol-Amsterdam International airport.
  • Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
    Yes, we do: a pick-up from the airport can be arranged at extra charges, with 24 hours notice.
  • Which is the nearest bus-stop?
    Nearest tramway-stop is around the corner ("Spui"), 150 meters away from the hotel. Lines that stop there are 1, 2 and 5.
  • Which is the nearest railway station?
    The nearest railway station is Amsterdam centraal station.
  • Which is the nearest / how far away is / how do we arrive from the canal bus stop?
    The canal bus stop is 200 meters south of the hotel, on the same canal, Herengracht.
  • Which is the nearest / how far away is / how do we arrive from the tram stop?
    The nearest tram-stop is around the corner, 150 meters away.
  • Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
    There is a flaoting and massage centre "Koan Float", situated next to the hotel.
  • Are pets welcome?
    Most pets are welcome: the hotel should appreciate receiving some notice though.
  • Is there a restaurant in the Property?
    There is a restaurant for breakfast and furthermore serves room service (including hot meals) 24 hours. Many recommendable restaurants are found at walking distance, the reception gladly makes reservations for you.
  • Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
    Yes, you can: free Internet with ADSL-cables (in each room) is provided.
