country boasts of the largest number of museums per square metre and in this neighbourhood
you can visit the Museum Amstelkring located
in the attic of a building situated in the red light district. Originally it was
used as a hidden church when the Catholicism was forbidden, today it has become
the second oldest museum in Amsterdam and here you can see exhibitions of religious
and contemporary art.
Anna Frank museum
is another place of interest hidden in the Binnenstad. What used to be the house
of the Franks where Anna wrote her famous diary has become a museum as well. Every
Saturday you can visit and enjoy the organic market on
the Nieuwmarkt square, walk around the canals and visit the Oude Kerk,
