Did not feel particularly welcome.

Our bedroom was very small, the wardrobe door would not open fully because it hit the bed. The TV remote was missing, and the bathroom was *very* small and cramped - the toilet could not be used with the bathroom door closed!
There was a permanent clutter of bedding on the landing on our floor.
Otherwise the hotel was clean.

Just leave the key at the desk and walk out of the door.

The photos of the bedrooms ar over flattering, and the public room (note, not rooms) do not look like the pictures.

OK for an inexpensive hotel in a quiet area - on the edge of reasonable walking distance into the city.

The room was small but very clean. Due to the construction outside (no fault to the Hotel), it was very noisy from very early in the morning. Since we requested the quiet room, they could have put us in the back room on the upper floor.
There wasn't a radio in the room as was stated in your website and voucher.
I must say the staff was very nice and friendly and I recommend this hotel to my friends.

After an early morning start and 2 hr journey, i was pleased to hear that all the rooms were ready, eventhough the official check-in time was not for another 5 hrs. This was a great relief to the entire group.

The staff were very knowledgable about the local area and helped with directions and tips on visiting tourist attractions.

Our flight back to the U.K was not until late evening so we asked (last minute) for a room for an additional night, we received the room at a reasonable price.
The staff arranged for taxis to take us to the airport, which were prompt and reasonably priced.

Excellent shower facilities, the local market and best of all the trams stop right outside.

The hotel is close to all the hustle and bustle of amsterdam center, yet is located in a quiet area. A good retreat from a busy day.

Everything was spelled out very clear. The reponses to e-mails were very timely. The staff at the Aalborg was great.

Vey nice family sytle owned hotel in a great neighborhood. Breakfast included was a nice treat. Staff was most helpful. Rooms small, but well maintained. I would stay there again.

The hotel was nice and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a good distance from Amsterdam center. The only thing that that let it down was the room that we were allocated - it was very small. So small, you could not sit on the toilet properly without your legs hanging in the bedroom out of the bathroom. I think we were just unlucky, so I would suggest anybody staying to first make sure they get one of the bigger rooms before booking.

Very welcoming, though less of a family hotel than I had imagined.

Only margianly, the room was more cramped than expected, and the tempory nature of the four beds gave a feeling of 'camping out' which my boys loved but was not very relaxing for us.

The best part of the hotel was your receptionist Stander (I'm not sure if that is the correct spelling). He was gracious, funny and extremely helpful. The other staff members were all good, but Stander was an absolute credit to your establishment.

The location of the hotel was excellent, the breakfast was good and the hotel was clean. We were surprised at how small our room was, however. For the high cost per night, we expected something a bit more spacious.

Tiny room with even tinier bathroom, not very clean (especially the dining room), very loud neighbours. One person of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the others barely answered our questions.

The exact size of the rooms perhaps, and the fact that the bathrooms don't have proper doors.

The double hotel room was actually smaller than the single room that our friend booked and was the size of a broom cuboard.
We will definately not be going back to hotel again I'm afraid. It's really overprized for what it is.

The rooms were smaller than indicated. While bathrooms were generally clean the rooms were far from clean, especially carpets. Some rooms had windows that could not be closed properly and things were in a general state of disrepair.
